Artwork as an entity

Usually, an artwork is described as a structured entity (a physical well organized artifact), whose space-time borders are well defined, which results from a certain kind of deliberately controlled activity we call “artist’s intention”.

This view is framed by an internalist-substantialist conception — artwork as a thing, built for specific purposes, and based on mental intentional plannings (or group of related minds).
